Race Basics

Teams consist of 3-7 people: one musher and the "dogs". Anyone over the age of 18 can race.

The racers should be in some way connected to or touching the cart at all times while racing.

Teams (and spectators) are encouraged to wear costumes and decorate their carts.  (um...helmets are not a bad idea either)

You must obtain your own cart and take it with you at the end of the race. This is a Leave No Trace event so carts must go home with you!  Here are some ideas on where to get a cart:

Or talk to your local grocery store, ask to borrow a cart for a very memorable event.

The racers must pull/push the cart on foot for the whole route. The cart may not be motorized, towed by a vehicle or bike, or put inside a vehicle.

Carts can be modified, welded, broken, rearranged, and decorated in any way the team chooses. All original pieces of the cart must be present with the cart during the race (just throw the original pieces inside the cart if you want). Teams may attach platforms which allow them to ride the cart.

This is to be a fun competition...sabatoge is allowed.  Just remember it's a friendly competition, so please be friendly-like.

There will be a panel of judges to determine winners. The judges have sole discretion over all awards, race rules, laws of physics, and all are subject to change at any time.

There will be a party and award ceremony at the end of the race.

We are working hard to get all the details of this race put together, such as location details and the party details and all.  This information will be announced very soon.
